RELEASE DATE
All signs point to the iPhone 7 being released in September 2016. Apple are sticklers for schedules and the past few iPhones have all been released in September. It may launch a little earlier but every iPhone “may” have launched a little earlier in the past yet it never happens, so expect September.

PRICE
The rumors about the price suggests the iPhone 7 could have the same price tag as the iPhone 6s ($649, £539, AU$1079). This price tag could very well be for the 32GB model rather than a smaller 16GB model. The highest end iPhone 7 is rumored to be more expensive than the $849, £699, AU$1379 price tag that came with the iPhone 6S 128GB, but, once again, it’s expected you could receive double the storage (256GB).
WATER RESISTANCE
The latest rumors about the iPhone 7 would suggest that the worst thing that can happen to a phone owner; dropping it in the toilet, could very well be a thing of the past. The Chinese Commercial Times are saying that the iPhone 7 may be completely waterproof thanks to a new “compound material” being worked on by Apple that has water repelling properties. This new material is also said to make the two strips of plastic found on current iPhones; designed to allow mobile signals to get to the antennas, completely unnecessary.
CAMERA
A supposed photo of the iPhone 7 Plus has been posted to the Chinese website Bastille Post. The photo suggests that not only will the iPhone 7 be waterproof but it will also have a dual-lens camera. However, this is different from what other online renderings are suggesting.
SCREEN
DigiTimes are suggesting that the iPhone 7 could see a massive jump in resolution over previous models. They are saying that Apple may introduce glass-on-glass screens. These screens would allow for the introduction of QHD and 4K displays. With a higher resolution also comes a bigger phone as phones these days continue to grow in size, but it’s still likely to come with anywhere between a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen.
BATTERY LIFE
It’s suggested that the battery in an iPhone 7 will last longer than the batteries in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. However it’s also been suggested due to comments made, that Apple don’t feel making a more efficient battery is worth the sacrifice as the batteries in other iPhones have always been decent.
WIRELESS CHARGING
Other phone creators are making the very convenient wireless charging a feature. Wireless charging can be found in the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and, with the appreciation the feature has,Apple shouldn’t let themselves fall behind. We expect that the iPhone 7 will come with wireless charging as a result.
OLED DISPLAY
The most current rumors would suggest that the iPhone 7 will feature an OLED display rather than the usual LCD. An OLED screen generates its own light while the LCD screen needs a backlight.
LI-FI
Another rumor is that the iPhone 7 will include Li-Fi technology. Li-fi is said to be 100 times faster than Wi-Fi. Unfortunately it seems like this isn’t likely to be the case given that Li-Fi is still being developed and it’s not expected to be available commercially until the end of the decade.
SPECS
It’s being suggested that the iPhone 7 will have 3GB of RAM – the largest in iPhone history. The iPhone 6s only came with 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The iPhone 6 was 1GB slower and used DDR3 RAM. It’s expected that the iPhone 7 will feature an A10 chip made by either TSMC, Samsung, or some combination of them.
